II’s “meeting season” for agriculturalists on the Northern Plains, and I’ve attended a bunch of trade shows, seminars and conferences over the past three months.
In talking with farmers, and listening to farmers talk among themselves, I keep coming across (predictably enough) two big areas of interest: the direction of crop prices, and the weather we’ll get in the upcoming growing season.
Crop prices, of course, are always of top importance.
The weather, is always crucial, too, and becomes even more so because of dry conditions across the region. The farmers I talk with, and who I overhear talking, have varying thoughts, theories and speculations on what the growing season will bring.
What’s you best guess on weather this spring, summer and fall? Drop me a line and let me know.
