College crop team wins national honors

Congratulations to the University of Minnesota-Crookston Collegiate Crops Team, which placed third in the two national competitions held recently in Kansas City.

The Crookston three-member team consisted of Amanda Crook, a senior from Brandon, Manitoba; Betsy Thoreson, a senior from Climax, Minn.; and Rachel Elshaug, a junior from Grand Forks, N.D.

The team was coached by agronomy lecturer Rob Proulx.

And my congratulations to college ag students in general. As you know, demand for your services is strong, and some great job opportunities await you. Make the most of them.
